Community Guidelines
UnCONventional FANmilies is committed to ensuring all guests and attendees have a fantastic convention experience. We want everyone to be able to use the chat and Q&A functions to ask questions and talk freely with fellow fans within our virtual platform. Please be aware, there may be attendees participating that are minors, so please keep the conversations respectful.
For the safety and comfort of everyone, we ask that you abide by the following community rules:
• No inappropriate personal questions to the guests.
• No use of graphic sexual language.
• No hate speech, violent or offensive language.
• No other behavior that would make guests or other attendees feel uncomfortable.
Any questions or comments that violate community rules will be deleted by a moderator and a warning will be sent to the attendee via email. UnCONventional FANmilies reserves the right to remove any attendees without refund for repeated violations.
We would also like to remind virtual 1-on-1 attendees that we want this to be a phenomenal and memorable experience for yourself and the guest. While it’s wonderful to share with your favorite actors how much a show/story/character has impacted you, we ask that you be mindful that some difficult personal disclosures may be triggering to our guests.

Who is coming to the Waverider Reunion 2025?
All guests scheduled to appear can be found on the Guests page. Any new announcements will be announced on our social media platforms before being updated here. Make sure you are following us for the latest updates!
Where is the Waverider Reunion happening?
The event is virtual and will be hosted on the Crowdcast platform. Once you buy your ticket and register, you will be sent a link for the event. You will use the same link to access all of the panels throughout the weekend. Some of the games will be run over Zoom, which we will send a link for you to join, and if you purchased a virtual 1-on-1, those will also be accessed through a separate platform link which will be sent to you via email. While Crowdcast can be accessed on a smart phone, we recommend using a computer or laptop for a better experience.
How much does it cost?
In order to cover operating and administrative costs, we are charging a ticket fee of $25. The ticket gives access to the entire weekend event including all the panels, games, workshops and the cosplay contest. Tickets can be purchased here! Payments are processed through Stripe.
There will also be a limited number of 3-minute virtual 1-on-1 experiences with actors available to purchase separately. Guests offering 1-on-1s and tickets are available here. You must have an event ticket to be able to access the virtual meetings.
What are the virtual 1-on-1s?
Virtual 1-on-1s are timed meet-and-greets with select special guests. These will take place through a secure Zoom link and each session will be 3 minutes long. You may purchase more than one session. If you do so, they will be consecutive sessions. For example, if 2 sessions are purchased for the same guest, the meeting will be 6 mins long and not two separate 3-minute meetings. All chats will be moderated by staff to ensure the comfort of our guests, but staff will not be visible on the call with you as to not interrupt your time with the actor.
The times and dates for the 1-on-1s will be finalized a few days before the event. Tickets for virtual 1-on-1s are available here. You must purchase an event ticket to be admitted for the 1-on-1s. Anyone who buys a 1-on-1 and does not also purchase an event ticket will not be admitted to the chat on the day nor refunded. Tickets for these are limited.
Recording is not permitted for the virtual 1-on-1s.

What is the virtual cosplay contest?
Cosplay has always been a vital and engaging part of in-person conventions, and we want to continue the opportunity to celebrate our favorite characters and fandoms through the expression of cosplay, even in a virtual setting. We would love attendees to join in our virtual cosplay contest. We can’t wait to see your fun legends themed (or other) outfits.
To register, please email unconventionalfanmilies@gmail.com with the subject heading ‘Cosplay Entry’ and let us know your name and costume. Your name should match the name you use to sign up for the event so we can identify you in the Crowdcast platform. Each entrant will be invited to the virtual stage to show us your amazing outfit. Winners will be chosen after everyone has had their chance to show off.
What else is included in the schedule?
Our schedule will be finalized closer to the event, but we will have lots of fun additional activities planned outside of panels such as games, trivia and a virtual hang out for fans to meet and catch-up with other fans. Check out our schedule page for the full run of show!
Why is the event virtual? Will there be an in-person event?
We had originally planned the Waverider Reunion to be an in-person event held in Santa Monica, CA, but with the ongoing political crises happening in the USA, we decided to err on the side of safety and move the event online (instead of postponing indefinitely). We know that we have many international Legends fans, and this allows for both a cheaper and safer option for all of us to reunite and celebrate Legends for the time being.
We are hoping to plan for future in-person events, and we are continuing to monitor the situation here in the USA, but we know we will be able to gather and all see each other again! We will share more information about future events when we have it.
